Our Mission

In celebration of 250 years of American democracy, we are called not only to reflect on our history, but to reaffirm our shared responsibility to one another and to the communities we serve. As we lay the foundation for the next 250 years, reconnecting with each other and strengthening our civic fabric is critical.

Bergen County is organizing United We Serve: A Countywide Week of Service, taking place April 18–26, 2026. This week will bring together nonprofits, civic groups, faith-based organizations, schools, businesses, and community leaders in a coordinated effort to bolster our community and support those in need. Through volunteer projects, donation drives, educational programs, and community engagement initiatives, we aim to underscore that unity, compassion, and shared responsibility are the lifeblood of our national future.

Join in on this exciting commemoration and stand with Bergen County as we serve and strengthen our community together!

We believe every act of service matters,
can bring people together, and can create meaningful change.
